Projects Team

Wallingford Software provides a bespoke service of software consulting, design, development and implementation delivered through the Projects Team. The service is aimed at water organizations with requirements that go beyond the capabilities of internal resources and commercially available software packages.

Customers include environmental regulators, water and wastewater service providers, and consultants. Projects customers enjoy the same high standards of software development and support as customers of our software products.

Projects undertaken by Wallingford Software cover a range of activities, including

Analysis and design studies

• System design and engineering to provide data integration between GIS, SCADA, telemetry, modeling, meteorological systems, and other corporate systems and databases
• Analysis and design of hydrological and hydraulic processing schemes

System development projects

• Production of decision support systems using GIS, databases and models
• Production of easy-to-use, real-time control room systems that combine SCADA and modeling
• Development of modeling and database systems

Project support services

• Translation and conversion of hydraulic models for use in operations and optimization

Projects staff include expert software designers and developers working alongside experienced civil engineers. Our developers work across all the major operating systems, languages, databases and GIS. We operate our own project management and quality assurance practices and procedures, but we are also flexible enough to fit-in with customer procedures. We form a dedicated team for each project, committed to delivering results that meet the required timescale, budget, and quality standards

We can supply turnkey systems, but experience shows that projects are most effective when all the parties involved develop a close working partnership focused towards achieving a common goal. The Projects Team expects to work alongside professionals from IT departments, engineering departments, operations and control rooms, consultants, modelers, maintenance, and researchers.
