Product Webinars Product Webinars

We invite you to join us for our current series of webinars, hosted this time in North America. On the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month we will be looking at our suite of software products. Each webinar will be hosted by our team of product experts and will delve into a particular aspect of the software. There is no charge to participate in the webinars.

Join us for all, or pick and choose the topics most relevant to you. To register click on the corresponding link and complete the registration information in order to join the meeting.

June 26, 2009: Automated Tools for Extended Period Simulation Analysis
Extended-Period (Dynamic) Simulation provides a four-dimensional result space, with results varying across time, model elements, result types, and summations. Graphs and tables are good at summing up results across two dimensions, Examples would include displaying results over time for one network element, or one result for selected elements and all time-steps. However, for a statistical analysis of results we often need to look at all results, across all time-steps and for all elements. An example would be the need to determine which nodes have pressures below a specified threshold for longer than a given duration, or to determine the pressure at the time of maximum demand at each node. InfoWorks is the only modeling application with provides a tools for such analyses.
July 10, 2009: Modeling of Pumping Stations and Force Mains
Several options are available in InfoWorks CS for modeling pumping stations which range from simple lift stations through to complex real time control scenarios and fully pressurized systems. It is one area of modeling where skill and experience are required to model each element correctly. This presentation discusses different types of pumps and shows how each should be modeled. It also details the complexities of representing force mains.
