ISIS Flow / Hydrology
"a flexible and comprehensive range of tools for designing cost-effective engineering schemes and developing catchment strategies"
Windows Based Workbench
- fast data input, checking and editing
- comprehensive on-line help
- powerful graphics including network visualisation and animation, and report quality printed output
- graphic and text export to GIS, CAD, word-processing and spreadsheet software
Fast data input, checking & editing facilities
A complete open channel modeling solution
- models open channel systems containing loops, branches, floodplain conveyance and storage
- incorporates standard equations and modeling techniques for structures including weirs, sluices, bridges, culverts, pumps, syphons, orifices and outfalls. Logical control of moving structures
- systems can be simulated either in full unsteady mode, or as an advanced steady state simulation. Flow routing techniques are also available, including Muskingum and VPMC methods
Simulation of event rainfall - runoff
- fully integrated rainfall-runoff simulation within ISIS Flow, Steady or Routing
- representation of individual sub-catchments or catchment wide modeling through linking of sub-catchments using ISIS Flow, Steady or Routing
Features
- UK Flood Studies (FSR / FSSR16) unit hydrograph approaches
- US Soil Conservation (SCS) unit hydrograph methods
- Revitalised Flood Hydrograph (ReFH) rainfall runoff methods
Catchment wide simulation using ISIS Routing and ISIS hydrology
Flexible results presentation
- schematic or map views of the modeled system are available, through which model data and results can be accessed
- sections, longitudinal profiles and time series are all easily displayed, with observed data superimposed where available.
- the map view provides simple flood extent mapping and animation, and this can be displayed on a map background.
- graphical outputs can be displayed on-screen in a report quality format and then either printed or output to DXF for import into a CAD system.
- a wide range of tabular outputs are available, and the software also includes a number of statistical functions for further output analysis
Full on-line help and documenation
The ISIS help system provides on-line help throughout the software, and this is supported by extensive reference manuals. The manuals are supplied in a digital format suitable for on-screen use.
An integrated solution
- enables the transfer of data to CAD systems and spreadsheets
- easily upgraded to allow simulation of other processes by including the following optional modules:
